I was surprised to find how many of the prompts made me go "...who?" I consider myself pretty knowledgeable on Tolkien compare to, say, pretty much everyone I know IRL, but here I'm apparently swimming in the shallow end.
That's partly an effect of participants being able to design the cards, I think. People were able to revel in prompts for their pet projects! We have quite a number of rare characters on the cards.
Oh I wish I had so much more *time*! These bingo cards and combinations have given me so many ideas, but at the same time offline life has just decided to explode on me, lol. I'm definitely having fun, though ^-^
I sympathize. The number of prompts I have ideas for has steadily grown all month, while the time I have to do anything with them has been trending in the other direction...
And I need to do a lot more commenting/reviewing for my Comment on a Fanwork and Review a Story cards, I'm way behind, but determined to do all of them no matter how long it takes me.
It didn't look like a promising month, writing-wise, for IRL reasons, so although I've not written huge amounts, it's actually more than I expected. I'm pleased that I managed to write a couple new ficlets and also to continue one WIP a bit, with the prompts. I had picked ten cards (not originally planned), and have been tracking the called numbers, even on days when there was no chance of writing anything. So I have an impressive pile of unused prompts. I had been expecting to use my own card, the one that I had made up the prompts for, more, but on the other hand that's the one that I might well continue using when March is over. Otherwise I've managed to get at least a tiny bit of use out of each card, so it doesn't feel like a waste. I've not managed to keep up with commenting as well as I'd hoped, but on the other hand that's partly because participants have been very productive, so that is good! Now to see what this last weekend brings!
And thank you very much again for the Tengwar card and the graphics you made for it! A really good feature of the month, for me!
I understand - I ended up with 10 cards after saying I shouldn't claim 10 cards, and writing time has steadily declined throughout the month as the pile of prompts grows... (And I can in no way keep up with commenting. There's just so much being posted!)
You're welcome! I made the card with no clear idea what I was actually going to do with it, only that I liked the concept!

Good luck with the comment/review cards!
