Continuing to update the unofficial daily B2MeM prompt list in a second repost:
(to make it more accessible; apologies for the lack of a cut):

  • March 2: "A Hopeless Dawn" by Frank Bramley (picture prompt)
  • March 3: Think of something that happened to you today and write down the first thing that comes to mind. Start your fanwork with your character having a similar experience or performing a similar task.
  • March 4: He thought he had come to the end of his adventure, and a terrible end, but the thought hardened him. (The Fellowship of the Ring, Book I, Chapter 8)
  • March 5: Partly open blue door: https://unsplash.com/photos/tVIv23vcuz4
  • March 6: Finish a WIP fanwork.
  • March 7: All goes onward and outward, nothing collapses, / And to die is different from what any one supposed, and luckier. (Walt Whitman, excerpt from "Song of Myself")
  • March 8: Create a fanwork that is set in the aftermath of a disaster, either natural or human-caused.
  • March 9:"They had begun to forget: forget their own beginnings and legends, forget what little they had known about the greatness of the world.” (Unfinished Tales, Part Three, III, The Quest of Erebor)
  • March 10At last, weary and feeling finally defeated, he sat on a step below the level of the passage-floor and bowed his head into his hands. It was quiet, horribly quiet. The torch, that was already burning low when he arrived, sputtered and went out; and he felt the darkness cover him like a tide. And then softly, to his own surprise, there at the vain end of his long journey and his grief, moved by what thought in his heart he could not tell, Sam began to sing. (Return of the King, Book VI, Chapter 1)
  • March 11: Photo prompt:  Milky Way and person next to a lake (https://pixabay.com/photos/milky-way-human-lake-dreams-4500469/)

  • March 16: ‘Mithrandir! Mithrandir!’ men cried. ‘Now we know that the storm is indeed nigh!’ ‘It is upon you,’ said Gandalf. ‘I have ridden on its wings. Let me pass! I must come to your Lord Denethor, while his stewardship lasts. Whatever betide, you have come to the end of the Gondor that you have known. Let me pass!’ (Return of the King, Book V, Chapter 1)

It has been announced that the [community profile] b2mem community on Dreamwidth is in its final year (the ninth for the community on LJ/DW), but it is already clear that the annual B2MeM event itself, which began in March 2006, will continue in March 2021, although the details are less certain.
Some preliminary discussions about this have been had on the SWG Discord.
This is a post for any comments on this subject.
(But please remember I'm not a mod of B2MeM, just a participant, so cannot offer any official information on any of this.)

March is coming up.
Any thoughts about the theme for this year's B2MeM: Endings and Beginnings?
Have you had a look at the shiny prompt generator yet?

(This post is intended as a place for comments about B2MeM 2020 specifically; I am making a separate post for comments on the subject of B2MeM's future.)
