Summary Prompt

 

This particular chapter is one of the shortest, but contains an important pivot point of the tale of the Elves.  At the end of this chapter, Luthien’s birth is foreshadowed, and there are a great number of things which may not have come to pass had Elwe not found Melian.

Thematic Prompt

 

Elwe traveled away from his people often to visit his friend Finwe.  This travel, unlike the greater journey, was a solo task, and due to their great friendship.  Create something around the theme of someone going out of their way in the name of friendship.
